Low Energy

Low energy means that anyone of any physical fitness could go on the activities offered. Trips of this design are low key and wouldn't require very much physical effort. So if you have bad knees or a hip replacement or just prefer sitting on the boat and watching the sights then a low energy trip would be for you. Some trips have a low energy aspect with moderate or even high energy aspects so make sure you pay attention to which trip your interested in and what the energy level is like. We don't want to scare anyone who thinks a moderate or high level  type of trip is too much for them because most of the time we have found guests are capable of more than they think they are. We also don't want you to be uncomfortable or hurt your self, so discussing with our team any concerns is highly suggested. We always ask guests to self asses first and if there is any questions or limitation concerns you can always call us to help asses.

Moderate Energy

Moderate means that you must be in good physical condition. Trips of this designation offer moderate physical challenges. You should be able to hike from 3 - 5 miles, in rolling terrain, have decent good knees for getting up and down and on and off of things. Physically able to explore remote rugged terrain without too much difficulty. We always ask our guests to self asses, however if you have any physical concerns or limitations, we are always happy to discuss it further and see if we can accommodate any limitation so you can still feel comfortable on any given trip.

High Energy

High energy means that you must be in very good physical condition. Trips of this design offer more extreme physical challenges. High Energy means that you must be in better than moderate physical condition, and be able to hike up to 8 - 10 miles, in steeper, more rugged terrain. Some trips may have a “high energy” component to them, which means that one or two days of the trip might be rated as such but the rest is moderate. Getting out of the boat and up on deck requires a fair amount of physical ability and strength as well as getting on and off a horse. Longer hikes or rides will be apart of this energy level. We don't want to scare anyone who thinks this type of trip is too much for them because most of the time we have found guests are capable of more than they think they are. We also don't want you to be uncomfortable or hurt your self, so discussing with our team any concerns is highly suggested. We always ask guests to self asses first but if there is any questions or limitation concerns you can always call us to help asses.
