All our retreats take place on a 54' ft sailboat with Captain Louis Hoock and Wild Woman Adventure guides. We have the second largest sail boat in Alaska. It houses six people comfortably, with full amenities. Showers, bathrooms, and each person gets their own bunk. Check out the boat.
Each trip is completely unique as no two are the same. We adventure to land most everyday and sleep and eat on the boat. We venture in Southeast Alaska with inside waters for a calm and smooth ride. Amazing Fishing, hiking into remote wilderness areas, learning new skills, eating amazing food, and so much more.

An incredible and dynamic sailing adventure. Guests will have to charter a plane from Juneau into Tennakee Warm Springs and can stay a night on the boat before departure. The trip begins heading into Basket Bay where we go crabbing and explore the amazing sea caves. There is an option to fly fish or learn to fly fish for salmon inside caves if desired. Then we journey to Warm Springs Bay (all-natural hot springs up against a raging waterfall). Can you say romantic! All natural hot spring and all you can drink wine! Not to mention the best wild berry picking in ALL of Alaska!
We will then journey through Peril Straights - A famous narrow passage way with much history and currents taking us as fast as 20 knots. Then finally we visit Kalenin Sealion Cove, which is a 3 mile hike into a magnificent remote white sand beach. It also carries the nickname “Bear Island” for its incredible Grizzly Bear viewing. We saw over 19 bears on last year’s trip. Swimming, boogie boarding, and yoga are a few of our favorite beach activities depending on the weather of course.
The trip ends Sailing into Sitka Sound, the King Salmon Fishing Capital of the world. After disembarking from the boat, lodging will have to be arranged separately. We have a list of suggested places to stay, and transportation options with land excursion options.

A Journey from Haines, Alaska to Tennekee Springs Alaska. This trip is planned during the Alaska State Fair in Haines, so clients are encouraged to come early to take part in the Fair (It’s mostly bluegrass, beer, and dancing!). Clients may stay on the boat or camp in Haines as lodging will be incredibly limited. Check out the website Alaska State Fair Website. It’s all about local bluegrass music and dancing. Lots of fun.
There will be lots of fishing on this trip starting in Williams Henry Bay and the Endicott River. The Endicot River is a major destination for Sport Fishing and also offers great crabbing and hiking opportunities. Nearby we will go treasure hunting like pirates and explore an island with many historic structures and abandoned canneries. Then we go to Basket Bay where we will go Sea cave exploring. There is actual salmon that run in the cave so we could go fly-fishing inside the cave also! There is also crabbing available in this area. This is also the “Whale Watching Highway” of Alaska. Then off to visiting Baranof Warm Springs which is an all-natural hot spring up against a raging waterfall. Their will be Wild Berry picking and hiking opportunities on this island. Then sailing and Salmon fishing, and finally ending in Tennakee Warm Springs, yes another Hot Springs destination!
*Tennakee is a very remote off the beaten path place, and ending there means there is no lodging so guests are more than welcome to stay on the boat another night and soak in the springs all they want. Then they can charter a seaplane into Juneau to fly out. Sea plane tickets are about $150. This would be arranged by guests, but with help from Wild Woman Adventures of course.

Arrrggggg! Calling all Women ready to sail the high seas! Come with us to tour Sitka Sound! This diverse off the beaten path adventure takes place on the second largest sailboat in Southeast Alaska with Captain Louis Hoock (Literally capt. Hook) of S/V Arcturis. We take the group where few others go. Lots of land time hiking into warm springs and up volcanoes, into bear islands and white sand beaches. getting up close and personal with humpbacks bubblefeeding in the remote channels of SE Alaska. Learning to sail can seem intimidating, but we walk everyone through it. We sail around remote puffin reserves and sea lion mating islands...and well we dont want to give away all the surprises. Oh! and did we mention fishing! Quicker than you can get a line down. We eat everything we catch and we eat good! Crabbing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Each trip is unique
